An enjoyable circuit of Ben Wyvis from Garbat. This photo was taken from a feature which I call An t-Sròn (The Nose in English) which is a promontory jutting out over Coire Mòr. It is about 10 minutes jog from the trig point to get here, but very few ever make it this far – which is a pity, as it is the best place on the mountain.
Cold today though. Not a place to hang around. I had to use the microspikes to give my running shoes some traction on the ice, and I also ended up using the snow goggles to protect my eyes, and the winter climbing gloves to keep my hands functioning. Good to be able to visit this place though – it is a privilege not many folk have.
